Dr. Ashley Pojezny’s journey into medicine was inspired by a personal and impactful experience —the battle her grandfather faced with dementia. The difficulty of dealing with his illness helped inspire her desire to relieve others’ suffering, and she truly views medicine as her calling. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside her patients through every stage of life!

A Texas native, she followed in her family’s footsteps and graduated from Abilene Christian University, before attending Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Pojezny put down her Oklahoma roots when she completed her training at In His Image Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa. Board-certified in family medicine, she has spent the past 7 years of her career working for St. John Ascension caring for the community of Broken Arrow and the surrounding Tulsa area.

She is most excited about joining PHP and practicing in the Direct Primary Care model because it allows her to get back to the heart of why she went into medicine – to truly help and heal people. Her new practice will allow her to have more time with each patient and give her patients the access and flexibility for scheduling they desire and deserve.

Dr. Pojezny loves caring for the entire family, from newborns to those in their golden years and every stage in-between. Her special interests encompass women’s health, breastfeeding medicine, pediatrics, preventative care, chronic headache treatment, musculoskeletal manipulation (OMT), skin procedures, and weight loss. In her practice, Dr. Pojezny values truly listening to her patients, working together with them to make the best treatment plan, and providing detailed comprehensive health education. She believes “Laughter truly is the best medicine” and loves to laugh and share life with her patients while providing them with quality healthcare.

Outside of medicine she enjoys reading fiction, filling her garden with beautiful flowers, traveling, and expressing her creativity through art and wildlife photography. Above all, she enjoys spending time with her precious family – her husband Kevin and son Austin who are her true loves behind the Lord.
