Kelsey Keoppel, DO,
Physician
Dr. Kelsey Keoppel is a dedicated and compassionate family medicine physician located in East Edmond. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Mississippi State University and earned her Doctorate of Osteopathy from Kansas City University in Kansas City, MO. She completed her residency at Cox Health Family Medicine in Springfield, MO.
Her passion for medicine began early, inspired by her love for science and desire to help people. She chose family medicine because it allows her to be an advocate and guide for her patient on their healthcare journey. She values the long-term relationships she builds with her patients, helping them navigate the complexities of healthcare from birth to old age. Her hope is that she is still caring for the same patients and even their children and grandchildren several decades down the road.
Dr. Keoppel describes her practice style as thoughtful and pragmatic. She believes in the significant role of lifestyle in health and provides personalized encouragement and challenges beyond “eat healthier and exercise more.” She sees patients of all ages and stages of life, with a special interest in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT). OMT utilizes hands-on techniques to restore function and decrease pain for various conditions.
She is particularly attracted to the Direct Primary Care (DPC) model and ultimately joined PHP because it simplifies healthcare and promotes quality over quantity. This model provides better access to the physician and allows more time to address healthcare concerns thoroughly
Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Keoppel enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her fantastic husband Cory, her son Sam, and her daughter Clara. Her hobbies include riding ATVs with her family, snuggling her kids, cooking, reading, raising chickens, collecting fountain pens, and going to the lake.
Inspired by one of her mentor’s catchphrases, “Where there is love of medicine, there is love of humankind,” Dr. Keoppel is committed to giving people the information and tools they need to live their best lives.

Dr. Keoppel hears me out and helps me figure out options that can help me mange my symptoms. She did not make me feel like it is all in my head like previous doctors have, I recommend her to those around me looking for a new doctor.
